Nokia officially unveils first ever Android powered Nokia phone at Mobile World Congress(MWC) 2014 at Barcelona. Nokia X, Nokia X+ and Nokia XL are the three budgets phones with ability to run Android Apps. Though the launch was not much of surprise as leaks after leaks about Nokia Android phones launch were revealed and now it is officially announces by Elop, CEO of Nokia at MWC. After unveiling Elop said “The Nokia X is built on Android open source software. We have differentiated and added our own experience”
Nokia X and Nokia X+ are both 4 inch WVGA display with Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 1 GHz dual core processors. Nokia X will have 512 MB of RAM whereas Nokia X+ will have 768 MB RAM. It has 1500 mAh battery along with 3 MP camera with micro SD card support.
Nokia XL is the larger variant of Nokia X family with 5 inch WVGA display. It has 2 MP front camera and 5 MP rear camera with auto focus lens. The specs of this phone are same as Nokia X and Nokia X+ except it has 2000 mAh battery.
Nokia X will officially available in market by Q2 with price of $120 for Nokia X, $135 for Nokia X+ and for Nokia XL for $150.
